PLD Summit is going to Dubai

in October 2017

Based on some of the resounding feedback we’ve received from Post Summit Survey and powerful proposals assembled by fellow PLDers, the Planning Team is thrilled to announced the host cities for the 2017 Global PLD Summit

About the HBS PLD Summit

2016 Theme: Authentic Leadership requires one to apply themselves in a way that fits their personality and strengths. One person's leadership is different than another's. Authentic Leadership is not a one-size-fits-all discipline - it’s your unique way of making the mark!

For the sixth consecutive year, the global community of graduates of the HBS PLD program, the Harvard Business School's Executive MBA alternative, will gather for the Global HBS PLD Summit.

You will enjoy inspiring lectures from HBS faculty and industry speakers, exchange ideas in breakout sessions, reunite with your classmates and network with new members of our growing, dynamic and global community. The experience does not have to stop there, many PLDers will plan post-Summit weekend activities.

This year, the Global HBS PLD Summit will follow the HBS Global Alumni Leadership Summit hosted by the school on August 24-26, 2016 for AMP, GMP and PLD alumni.

Celebrating the accomplishments of PLDers

The PLD community has evolved, in recent years, to become a close knit integrated community and network. A vibrant and highly engaged support network has evolved that crosses sessions and geographies. The objective of this initiative is to harness the power of the network and raise awareness of the accomplishments of the leader PLDer by showcasing their work at the PLD Summit and other community forums.

The PLD community, alumni, students and affiliated faculty are invited to submit their book or a published work for the newly launched PLD Book Spotlight. This spotlight focuses on books and published works by PLDers and affiliated faculty that are relevant and meaningful for the community’s development.

  1. Submitted works serve a purpose towards the professional and personal development of the PLD community
  2. Submitted works are not in conflict with the mission and vision of the PLD Community and HBS
  3. Published in the past 1-2 years
  4. Submitted works do not promote religious or political doctrine or ideology
  5. If accepted, Author agrees to be available at event where the work is featured (online or offline) to answer questions and optionally to speak about the book at the invitation of the Summit Planning team

  8. This year’s submissions deadline is June 30, 2016. Approvals will be communicated by July 31, 2016. Books and works will be featured at the Global PLD Summit on Aug 26, 27 2016 in Boston.
